Winning an outrun
Once you have found an opponent to outrun with, get in front of the opponent and get in the lead. Get as far as possible until the distance meter has reached its limit. If the distance meter starts to drop, it indicates that the opponent is catching up. When this happens, do a handbrake skid and turn the car around. Go back the way that you came from. The opponent will follow you as you are the one in lead, but he will take time to catch up, giving you an advantage to win the outrun.
Taking a nice photo shoot
Once you are in the photo shoot area, press Circle, hold your handbrake, then rev the engine and press either Left or Right. The car should do donuts. While it is doing this, take the photo. This will give a smoky look on your wheels in the
picture.

Easy NOS recovery
To get lots of NOS easily, when you are standing still hold hand brake (R). Next, hold the gas then hold Left or Right. You should spin around and create smoke. This should give you 300 points instantly to recover turbo boost
Get on the highway and drive in reverse. After a few seconds you should begin racking up points on the right side of your screen. These points will give you extra NOS. Note: Crashing into traffic at high speeds will reduce your NOS.
When you are on the ground, activate hydros and keep flicking the Left Analog-stick Left repeatedly to get lots of points for filling your NOS bar. You can also do about three donuts, then wait and do another three donuts.
Refill NOS
To fill your NOS gauge when you have hydraulics, flip any car or SUV and hold A for about two seconds. Then, press any button to activate the hydraulics. Immediately, the word “Hydro” will appear on the right hand side of the screen
with a number underneath. The number should continue to rise and not stop. To stop doing this, release A and press Back to flip the car back over, starting with a NOS gauge filled to the overflow gauge.
Get drift points easy
Some of the downhill drift races have houses with looping drive ways that you can drive in. Drifting in these driveways gets a lot more points than on the street because you are so far off the road and are not hitting a wall.

Shortcuts
Look for alternate routes on your in-game map while driving. These can get you ahead of an opponent easily or shave off seconds on your timer. They will look like another road on the map, but sometimes are narrower. Most of the time these shortcuts will be hard to see or take, and can be extremely risky.
Shoot Smoke From Nitrous
To make nitrous shoot out smoke, put your car in neutral, or at the beginning of the race press Nitrous.

O.K. Create a Profile with the Name DIRTY and customize a Honda Civic how ever you like it and store the car. Exit the customize car option and hold Select for 10 seconds (May take Longer). The song “Get Low” by Lil Jon should come on and you will be able to race against him, T.I., Ludacris,Bone Crusher, TrillVille, Young Bloodz,and Pastor Troy in the Underground Mode. Enjoy!

For this cheat, hold the following at the main menu: O, Select, and L1 and then press X. Doing so quickly will unlock David Banner and you can compete against him in a drift race.

For this cheat to be activated you must customize the Honda Civic with the Spinners code on and make it Metallic Blue. By doing so this will unlock the following people and their cars: Ki-Lo, Kaos, T.Richards, and Jay S.

Points for 360 in Drift
When you are in drift mode you can get some extra points for doing doughnuts. Hold one direction and the handbrake and gas and let go of the handbrake after a second.
Money Mayhem
Play through Underground Mode as you would usually do, unlocking a good amount of cars and performance parts. This is just your initial investment (or ’seed money’) for the trick. Save the game. Then buy and modify the VW Golf to the maximum and trade it in for the Honda S2000 for a gain of about $1500. Take the Honda to the garage and demodify it (strip the parts) and trade the Honda for a Skyline (and a loss of about $3000). With the Skyline, you can now trade for the VW Golf for a gain of about $10,000. You can repeat this car laundering until you have enough cash for your dream machine.
Helpfull Turn Control Hint
If you have the Automatic Slide Control Turned on (you should automatically have it when you start the game)here’s a helpful hint. If you start to slide, your natural reaction would be to turn the opposite way to get the car under control; DON’T! Instead just let the car do the work for you because the auto slide control automatically turns the car so it goes straight, you just have to make sure it doesn’t go straight into a wall.

Use rims that normally will not fit
Certain cars can only fit so big of a rim. For example, the Miata can only fit 17s, but if you get a car like the Skyline put 20s on it and trade it in for the Miata. The Miata will now have the 20s that the Skyline had in it. Do not try to install any other rims on your new car because the rims will go back to the maximum sized allowed.
Slo-Mo Glitch
Whenever you hit traffic or make a jump, you go into slow motion. Hit START while in slow motion view, then resume the game. The camera will shift back to the normal view while still in slow motion.
Extra Style Points in Drift
During any Drift competition, pause t he game at the moment you impact a wall. Unpause the game and you’ll be rewarded with free style points.
Getting three Unique Spoiler at same time
You must have a non-hatchback car available for this cool glitch. First get a non-hatchback car, go to race 77( Time Trial, Samantha’s Big Tease ), beat the race to get to reward screen. DO NOT choose Dual GT and Duotek, as they have both saloon and hatchback version and thus won’t get you additional spoiler. Instead choose Katana( always ), save the game and exit Underground mode. At Main Menu go check ”customize your ride” section, choose a hatchback and see Dual GT WILL BE AVAILABLE! Now choose a saloon car you will see not only Katana is available, but saloon version of Dual GT WILL BE AVAILABLE, TOO!
This will happen almost everytime, but if you have extra cash and want to make sure it happens 100%, choose Katana at Underground mode, go to customize car section in Underground mode, trade-in for a hatchback, and trade back the saloon car again, you will see this happening!!
As result, you will see only two kinds of unique spoilers in Underground mode( Katana for saloon and Dual GT for hatchbacks ), but at Main Menu you can find THREE kinds of unique spoiler available( Katana & Dual GT for saloon and Dual GT for hatchbacks ).
Note: due to the glitch, non-hatchback version of Dual GT will stay with your ride’s color.

Here is how you can submit your players to the NBA Draft. Make a player, and then go to Dynasty mode. Then diring off season go to leaving players.
Facing up the ball carrier
In order to face up the ball carrier, hold the Right Analog-stick Down. Your player will drop into an aggressive defensive stance. From here, you have full mobility with your player using the Left Analog-stick.
Quick steal
As the opposite team is about to pass the ball, guard the person that you think they are going to pass it to and keep tapping Square. As soon as they pass the ball, your player will grab it.
Easy wins
Go to settings and place your three pointer shots bar all the way up. You might miss one or two, but your centers will be able shoot them.
3-point shooters
Play as Connecticut and use the SG #4 or SF #33. They might not make the first few, but once you start making them they will be on fire.
More effective defense
To have a more effective defense, use a 1-2-1-1 Full Court Press. You can press Left for a defensive quickplay. If the team you are playing with does not have this play when you choose to use it, pause the game and go to “Playbook”, then “Defensive Quickplays”, and choose the play.
Created players for full teams
If you want to create a custom player (such as yourself) for a school, but the team is to full, go to “Edit Players”. Edit someone on the team that you want to play for. You will be a senior, but at least you will get to play for a year. After one year, create a prospect before your season is over and you can convince your player to join you.
