Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2.
Cheat Method
To purchase cars at a cheap price ($10 each), open up the cars.ini file in your CARS folder (from the main NFSHP2 game folder) using Notepad. Change the following lines:
price=10
nfsprice=10
NOTE: Always make a backup before overwriting game files.
Ferrari F50
Lead a single race, full grid, advanced, for eight laps to unlock the NFS edition of the Ferrari F50.
Lamborgini Diablo 6.0 VT
Get 2.5 million points to unlock the NFS edition of the Lamborghini Diablo.
McLaren F1
Get 4 million points to unlock the NFS edition of the McLaren F1.
McLaren F1 LM
Get 5 million points or win the World Championship to unlock the NFS edition of the McLaren F1 LM.
Mercedes CLK GTR
Get 4.5 million points to unlock the NFS edition of the Mercedes CLK GTR.
Porsche Carrera GT

Faster cars
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “cars.ini” file in the “cars” sub-folder in the game directory. Change the “mass=” value to “100″ for a faster car.
Open the folder of a powerful car, such as the F1, F50, etc. Copy the “car.ini” file from here and paste it over the original “car.ini” file of a slower car in its own folder (for example, the Elise). This instantly gives that car the speed and handling characteristics of the better vehicle. Note: Back up the original “car.ini” file of the slower car in the event that you want to revert it back to its standard settings.
Cheat Method

Mad Motion Blur
This is not exactly a cheat but it works. First go to options in the main menu and click on graphics card, Then click on the button below screen resolution then down the bottom it says “motion blur” and if you turn it on and use NOS the screen blurs like in 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Easy drift points
Simply stay behind a car and watch the points rack up.
Easy style points
After you unlock the oval drift track, go into “Quick Race” and choose that track. Then, race around it using the handbrake to powerslide into the corners. Depending on how good you are, you will unlock rewards every time you fill your meter, which does not take too long.
Shoot smoke from nitrous
To make nitrous shoot out smoke, put your car in neutral, or at the beginning of the race press [Nitrous].

1998 Nissan Skyline GRT34
Select underground mode and complete at least the first 80 missions. A recommended car to use is the Acura RSX. You will then challenge Samantha. Defeat her under the medium difficulty setting and win the next drag race to unlock the 1998 Nissan Skyline GTR34.
Eddie’s: Nissan Skyline
To unlock Eddie’s car in the end, keep winning style points. Note: It is faster to win them in drift. When your style meter maxes out, a message stating that you have won Eddie’s Nissan Skyline will appear.
Use rims that normally will not fit
Certain cars can only fit so big of a rim. For example, the Miata can only fit 17s, but if you get a car like Skyline put 20s on it and trade it in for the Miata. The Miata will now have the 20s that the Skyline had in it. Do not try to install any other rims on your new car because rimms will go back to the maximum sized allowed.
Shortcuts
Look for alternate routes on your in-game map while driving. These can get you ahead of an opponent easily og shave off seconds on your timer. They will look like another road on the map, but sometimes are narrower. Most of the time these shortcuts will be hard to see or take, and can be extremely risky. At the beginning of the races that take place in front of the prison Samantha told you to race to for at reward, when the race starts, crash in the gate of the prison: It is an underground shortcut. Note: This only works after the race in which Samantha tells you to race to the prison in time for a reward.

Police yell commands for you to pull over
Type Bullhorn at the main menu, in hot pursuit. You MUST NOT BE A POLICE CRUISER.
Shortcut
Go to the Atlantica track, in any mode, and start the race. As you near the left-hand curve right before the dock, go clear to the right and there should be a open tunnel with wooden planks on the bottom, go through it, and it eliminates the whole curve!

High Enough
To activate the cheat you MUST be in SINGLRACE mode. At the MAINMENU screen type GOFAST and pick the Mercedes CLK GTR and choose Hometown. Turn the opponents off and the traffic off so you can gain speed to fly right over the Cover Bridges. The cheat will allow you to fly over the second Cover Bridge. Have fun!
Short Cut
On the Empire track just before the first bend to the left there is a dark alley. Go through the alley and at the end of the alley, do not follow the track just turn a little to the left and aim directly for the road works blocking off another dark alley. This will take you directly through two long steep bends.
