Permanently Unlock Duelists

Some duelists have extra requirements to unlock. You must constantly meet these requirements or they will vanish from the selection screen. If you defeat a duelist with special requirements ten times, they will be permanently selectable, regardless of their past requirements. For example, if you defeat Joey ten times, you can then duel him even if you have a Jinzo card in your deck. Note: Losses and ties do not count against your total wins.

Duel Computer

Defeat all tier five duelists fifteen times each. Duel Seto Kaiba three times in a row, and on the fourth time the duel computer will be unlocked.

Duel Bandit Keith

Defeat all tier two duelists five times each and have a Barrel Dragon card in your trunk, and none in your deck.

Duel Bonz

Defeat all tier one duelists three times each and open at least five Barrel Dragon booster packs.

Duel Espa Roba

Defeat all tier one duelists three times each and open at least five Red Eyes Black Dragon booster packs.

Duel Ghouls (randomly)

Defeat Bandit Keith, Joey Wheeler, Mai Valentine, and Pegasus seven times each.

Duel Ghouls (your choice)

Defeat Marik Ishtar once.

Duel Ishizu Ishtar

Defeat all five Ghouls ten times each. You must use a deck without any magic or trap cards to duel Ishizu.

Duel Joey Wheeler

Defeat all tier two duelists five times each and have a Jinzo card in your trunk, and none in your deck.

Duel Mai Valentine

Defeat all tier two duelists five times each and have a Harpie Lady card in your trunk, but no Harpie’s Feather Duster card in your deck.

Duel Mako Tsunami

Defeat all tier one duelists three times each and open at least five Black Luster Soldier booster packs.

Duel Marik Ishtar

Defeat each of the five Ghouls once.

Duel Maximillion Pegasus

Defeat all tier two duelists five times each. Have at least one Toon World, Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon, and Toon Summoned Skull cards in your trunk.

Duel Rex Raptor

Defeat all tier one duelists three times each and open at least five Blue Eyes White Dragon booster packs.

Duel Seto Kaiba

Defeat Ishizu Ishtar ten times.

Duel Simon

Defeat all tier five duelists fifteen times each. Duel either Tea, Tristan, or Truesdale three times in a row and on the fourth time, Simon will be unlocked.

Duel Weevil Underwood

Defeat all tier one duelists three times each and open at least five Black Skull Dragon booster packs.

Duel Yami Bakura

Defeat all tier five duelists fifteen times each. Duel Bakura three times in a row, and on the fourth time, Yami Bakura will be unlocked.

Duel Yami Marik

Defeat all tier five duelists fifteen times each. Duel Marik three times in a row, and on the fourth time Yami Marik will be unlocked.

Duel Yami Yugi

Defeat all tier five duelists fifteen times each. Duel Yugi three times in a row, and on the fourth time Yami Yugi will be unlocked.

Duel Faster

Hold L when you are at the duelist selection screen. Continue holding L until the duel starts and it will go much faster.

Cheater Marik

When you duel Marik in the Pyramid Set “Penguin Soldier.” When Marik attacks it, the effect will be activated.Select “Yes” when you are asked to return a card to your hand and return the attacking monster to Marik’s hand. When you are asked if you want to return another monster to your hand select”No”. After the card is returned Marik should set another card on the field on the SAME turn which is against the rules.

Card Password

At the Password screen to get a specific card you get a real Yugioh Card. In the bottom left hand corner is an 8-digit code. Enter that in the password area.

Locked Areas

To unlock extras mode, beat the game. To unlock minigames mode, beat tournament mode.

Enemy Compass

If you’re lost and the compass isn’t helping, you should be able to find your way through the levels by simply following the trail of enemies. Continue to move towards new enemies to progress through the stage.

Get Spirit Shotgun

To get the shotgun (Yusuke’s best attack), you need to beat Rando. Then you will fight Gen Kai. She has all of Yusuke’s moves(including the shotgun), and is slow. After that you’ll get the shotgun and go off to fight the Saint Beasts.

Beat Hiei

To beat Hiei, face the top platform and dodge his blasts. When he comes out, hit him with spirit gun. (Note: If you get hit by his blasts, you won’t be able to move for a couple seconds and he will get on your platform and hit you. However, when you can move again you can hit Hiei with spirit punch.

Beat 4th Saint Beast

Here are the directions on how to beat Suzaku: First, start hitting him until he splits into 7 guys. Use shotgun until he’s 1 guy again. When you have low health and energy, go to the bottom left and right of the area. You will find power-ups. Repeat. Power-ups will regenerate every few minutes.

Play As Genkai

After you defeat Toguro for the final time with Kuwabara, Rando and Suzaku fight you. After you defeat them, Tarukane will fight you. He is very easy to defeat. After you defeat him, you can play as Genkai in tournament mode.

Black Monsters

Defeat 999 of any regular monster to turn it into a Black monster. Black monsters have high stats and can drop Altena Felt and Crystals which make the most powerful equipment in the game.

Use the Magic Rope to the last Goddess Statue visited.

Weapons and Magic

Using weapons affects what your magic does:

Sword – Pillar

Knucks – Controlled Shot

Bow – Arched Shot

Staff – Homing Shot

Lance – Two-way Shot

Axe – Wave Shot

Mace – Exploding Orb

Flail – Straight Shot

Sickle – Ring of Magic

Charge Attack

To do a special charge attack, wait until your attack gauge is full and your character starts flashing green. Hold A for approximately two seconds, and release it. Your character will do a charge attack which varies with weapon to weapon.

Expert enemies

Kill over 1,000 of the same enemy to replace it with an much more difficult black version of it in future encounters.

Easy experience

In the room before battling Count Lee, there are four bats flying around. If you kill each one, you may get an object. After a few seconds, the bats reappear. Keep killing them and after awhile you will get easy experience.

Polter Boxes

Every time you defeat a Polter Box, you will get a very good item such as materials, seeds, icons and even coins. However, in some locations, you cannot find a Polter Box. Try to get it by hitting the Polter Box icon using the treasure chest left behind by an enemy that you just killed. Note: Only some treasure chest contain the Polter Box icon. Others will have spikes, stones etc.

Escape The Mana Shrine

Get past the mana Sanctuary easily – after you go past the gold statue and the hot house head (by screen)north, east, south, west, west, north.

Fake Bait

This is difficult to do, but it works if activated correctly. If a Magic detecting monster is coming, switch to your knucks and use a magic move, make it miss the magic detector and hit it from behind. You will have about 5 seconds to run. He will be focused on where the attack came from. Thinking it came from behind, he should walk away for a bit.

Deneb/Secret store

After you meet up with Rictor again in Scabellum and he gives you your campaign funds, go to hire a soldier at the shop. Make sure she is a female of the chaos or neutral alignment and name her Deneb. Train her until her stats meet the requirement of a witch. Go into battle and have her persuade a male unit to join your team, giving her the Vixens Whisper Emblem. When you go to change her to a witch she will make a comment.”Just an ordinary witch? Let me take it up a little.” And she will then become the famous Deneb from all previous Ogre Battle games. In Scabellum in place of the regular shop, you will now enter Deneb’s secret shop. Which sells powerful equipment such as the Candy armor, shield, and helm. All of which costs 2,200 goth a piece and is very strong for a good way into the game. If you find all five of Deneb’s lucky glass pumpkins and sell them to her shop you will open up the Fire Crest which is one of the strongest pieces of defense equipment in the game. It costs 32,000 goth but is well worth the investment as for its ludicrous elemental defense bonuses.
